Support Scholarships

How To Give

Would you like to establish a “named” scholarship--perhaps in your own name, in a business or club name, or in honor or memory of a loved one?

You can can establish a “named” scholarship, which is renewable each year, with a donation of $1,000 or more.

Make your scholarship permanent by creating an endowment of $20,000 or more. The principal is permanently restricted, with only the annual earnings used to fund the scholarship.

Nursing Alumni Fund

Three LCC nursing grads--Ed Hunt, Bryan Lomax and Don Schaefer--are raising funds to fund an endowed scholarship. It's their way of giving back for the scholarship help they received while in school.  They need to raise $20,000 to permanently fund a $1,000 scholarship.

Mark & Theresa McCrady responded with a $10,000 challenge match opportunity. Mark's father, Roy, joined them. They'll match all contributions to the Nursing Alumni Endowed Scholarship Fund, received through 2007, dollar for dollar, up to $10,000. If donors reach that $10,000, the fund will reach $20,000, enough to permanently fund a scholarship.

Theresa is a 1983 LCC nursing graduate and Mark has earned two degrees from LCC.  They read about the fund drive in The Daily News.
