GED Testing & Classes

The GED Tests

LCC is an official General Education Development (GED) testing center.

To register for the tests, you must pay the $75 fee and sign up at the testing office. High school students age 16 - 19 must complete the Request for Approval to Test form. Home schooled students must submit a Notarized Statement for Home School Students.

Retesting costs $15 per test.

All five test subjects will be offered each test date. The test times are indicated below:

  • 8:00 a.m.
    Language Arts, Writing
  • 10:30 a.m.
    Language Arts, Reading
  • 12:00 p.m.
    Mathematics
  • 2:30 p.m.
    Science
  • 4:05 p.m.
    Social Studies

Testers are required to check in with picture ID 15 minutes prior to each scheduled test.


Testing Schedule

GED testing is offered in the Admissions Center (see campus map) on the following dates:

  • Monday, July 13
  • Saturday, July 25
  • Monday, August 10
  • Monday, September 28
  • Monday, October 5
  • Monday, October 19
  • Saturday, October 24
  • Monday, November 2
  • Monday, November 16
  • Monday, November 30
  • Saturday, December 12

Adult Basic Education

To prepare for the GED, sign up for Adult Basic Education classes.

The cost is just $25 per quarter, with financial help available to those who need it. To take these classes, high school students age 16 - 19 must complete the Request for Approval to Test form. Home schooled students must submit a Notarized Statement for Home School Students.
