The Art Gallery at Lower Columbia College is located in the Rose Center for the Arts. The new gallery is 50% larger than the college's previous art gallery.
The Art Gallery functions as a resource for students, educators, artists and the public-at-large, and features a variety of artists and mediums. Art shows are free and open to the public.
Special features of the new Art Gallery include twenty-foot high walls that allow ample space and flexibility for the display of art. The second level of the gallery is more intimate in nature and will display special items and the college's permanent collection, much of which has been donated. Natural light from a slot skylight gently illuminates the room to enhance the overall experience in the gallery.
