College Level English

English Classes

To receive a transfer degree from LCC you need to take college level English. Many professional/technical degrees also require college-level English.

For more information about English courses see:

You could take Speed Reading (ENGL 161), Film and Drama Appreciation (ENGL 205), Creative Writing (ENGL 231-234) or study the masters with a fascinating literature class.

Tennyson, anyone?

You could write a story or poem for LCC's award-winning arts magazine, The Salal Review, or join the staff.

Before you can enroll in college level English courses, you may need extra work to reach college-level. Your COMPASS score in language arts may place you in ENGL 100, English Fundamentals, or in Individual Development courses. Your entry advisor can explain how this works.
