What are your transportation needs?
Your housing location will affect the type of transportation you will need.
Housing close to the school is great for walking and/or bicycling to school and the grocery store. Don't forget that LCC is located in the Pacific Northwest, where the winter weather is often rainy.
If your local housing is further from the college, the local bus lines run throughout town on a set schedule. Buses come to LCC about once per hour, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Housing requiring transportation by car
Some area homes are not near a bus line. Some host families may help with transportation. If you buy a car, be prepared to pay for licensing, gas, insurance, and maintenance. Parking at LCC is free.

You are responsible for arranging your own transportation from the airport when you arrive in the U.S., and to the airport when you leave. Host families will often provide this service, if you ask.
